Vulcan Park is operated by Vulcan Park Foundation and appreciates park members and generous donors. Vulcan Park Foundation is a non-profit organization with the goal of keeping the park a historically significant site with a wealth of educational opportunities for area visitors and citizens of all ages.

Volunteer Opportunities

Vulcan Park is open to the public and needs your help!

Vulcan Park Foundation seeks volunteers with an enthusiasm for Vulcan and Birmingham's history. Volunteers assist with visitor services and administrative duties and must be at least 18 years old.

For information about becoming a volunteer, please call 205-933-1409 ext. 27 or email volunteer@vulcanpark.org.

Docents are museum tour educators who interpret Vulcan Center's exciting exhibits including the story of Vulcan and the region's history of industrial prominence and trends. Docents must be at least 21.

Giving

Give to Vulcan Park Foundation and help us with our educational mission. Not only does a charitable contribution to Vulcan Park Foundation help maintain Birmingham's icon, it also benefits you by bringing tax savings.

Outright gifts to Vulcan Park Foundation can include cash, multi-year pledges or stock/securities. Our staff will be happy to work with you and your professional financial advisor to coordinate a gift that will last for generations to come.
